Court: Murder Trial Gets Underway In England
The trial of five teenagers charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Bermudian Lyrico Steede is underway in the Nottingham Crown Court in England.
19-year-old Kasharn Campbell, 18-year-old Remmell Miller-Campbell and two 17-year-old boys and 16-year-old girl, who the British media cannot name for legal reasons, are accused of taking part in the murder, and have all denied the charges.

The BBC reported, ”A 17-year-old boy was ‘lured to a dark park’ by a young girl minutes before he was fatally stabbed, a court has heard.
“Nottingham Crown Court heard he was chased during the ‘orchestrated and planned’ attack before he sought help.
“The trial heard the girl, who cannot be named because of her age, and Lyrico met through Snapchat and Instagram. Prosecuting, Peter Joyce QC said she arranged to meet him for the first time as a “trap” and “lured” Lyrico to a “secluded dark park” at 19:01 GMT.
“Prosecutors said Lyrico was chased from the park on Hempshill Lane to Stock Well where he was fatally stabbed Mr Joyce said the four males, who took a taxi from the Sneinton area, headed to the park at 19:19 “to kill” Lyrico.
Another report from the Nottinghamshire Post said, “A teenager was fatally stabbed after he was lured to a children’s playground had pleaded to police ‘help me, I’m dying’, a jury has heard.
“Lyrico Steede was just 17 years old when he died five days after he was knifed. He was in the park “as a sitting duck”, Nottingham Crown Court heard on Wednesday, October 3.
“And his alleged killers were ‘on their way to trap Lyrico and kill him’, the court was told. Prosecutor Peter Joyce QC, opening the case against five accused of murder, said the knife attack was carried out by four young men in the dock.
“The events that led to his death have been “painstakingly investigated and pieced together by the police from a number of sources – eye witness accounts, CCTV footage and phone analysis”, he added.
